16 December 2025, Manado - The Philippine Consulate General in Manado, in collaboration with the Bitung City Government, commemorated the 129th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal on 16 December 2025 at the Dr. Jose Rizal Monument in Bitung City, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The activity was attended by Hon. Hengky Honandar, Mayor of Bitung City, and participated in by personnel of the Philippine Consulate General.

Manado PCG Joins Fiesta Filipino at

St. Nikolaus School in Tomohon

4 December 2025, Manado - The Philippine Consulate General in Manado participated in the Fiesta Filipino celebration held at St. Nikolaus School in Tomohon on 4 December 2025. The event highlighted Filipino culture, heritage, and community spirit, and gathered Filipino teachers, Indonesian students, and school officials for a day of cultural appreciation and friendship.

Consul General Mary Jennifer Domingo Dingal led the Consulate’s delegation and delivered a message emphasizing the importance of cultural understanding and the vital role of Filipino teachers in shaping young learners. She also underscored the significant influence of social media on students today. Consul General Dingal reminded educators that they serve as influencers and role models both inside and outside the classroom, encouraging them to use social media responsibly and positively to guide students in making informed, respectful, and safe online choices.
