Manado PCG Joins Screening of Toast to the Nation in Manado

17 August 2025, Manado – Consul General Mary Jennifer Domingo Dingal, together with Vice Consul Manfred Neale M. Manalo, Commander Efren Ryan I. Fajardo, PN, and Chief Petty Officer Lorenzo C. San Gabriel, Jr., PN, Information Officer Rapahel Jonathan J. Tadeo and Liaison Officer Raymondo O. M. Wagiu, attended the screening of the nationwide live coverage of the Toast to the Nation at the auditorium of the Mayor’s Office. The event brought together Manado City officials, community leaders, and representatives of various sectors to witness the program simultaneously broadcasted from Jakarta.

Manado PCG Joins 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence
in North Sulawesi

17 August 2025, Manado – The Philippine Consulate General in Manado joined the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence on 17 August 2025 at the Office of the Governor of North Sulawesi, upon the invitation of Governor Major General Yulius Selvanus (Ret). The celebration carried the theme “United and Sovereign, for a Prosperous and Progressive People.”

The event was attended by local government officials, uniformed personnel, community leaders, and representatives of various institutions based in Manado.

Manado PCG and the Filipino Community Joins the Tomohon International Flower Festival 2025

12 August 2025, Manado, Indonesia – The Philippine Consulate General in Manado proudly participated in the 13th Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) held on 8–12 August 2025, joining thousands of visitors and international delegations in celebrating one of Indonesia’s most vibrant cultural and tourism event.
TIFF is the flagship tourism and cultural event of Tomohon City and is part of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy’s Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) program for the fourth consecutive year. Known for its dazzling floral floats, artistic performances, and vibrant community spirit, TIFF draws significant local and international attendance. In 2024, the festival attracted over 300,000 visitors and generated an estimated Rp 92 billion (approx. ₱331.2 million) in economic activity which TIFF 2025 celebration is expected to match or surpass.
Consul General Mary Jennifer Domingo Dingal took part in the Agenda Diplomatic Tour, alongside ambassadors and senior officials from Portugal, Rwanda, Seychelles, Albania, Australia, and Bulgaria, visiting cultural sites and engaging with local leaders.
The Consul General also attended the North Sulawesi Investment Forum, along with Vice Consul Manfred Neale M. Manalo and Liaison Officer Raymond O.M. Wagiu, highlighting opportunities in infrastructure, fisheries, and tourism.
The Consulate General’s participation, culminated in the Tournament of Flowers, TIFF’s grand parade, which featured thirty (30) beautifully intricately decorated floats.
Fifteen (15) Filipino teachers from Sekolah Lokon St. Nikolaus joined Post personnel in the parade, performing a Filipino cultural dance, Pandango sa Ilaw, before the main stage in the presence of VVIP guests, including Hon. Widyanti Putri Wardhana, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Hon. Major General (Ret.) Yulius Selvanus, SE, Governor of North Sulawesi, Hon. H. Rano Karno, Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta, Hon. Caroll J.A. Senduk, SH, Mayor of Tomohon, Hon. Sendy G.A. Rumajar, SE, M.I.Kom, Vice Mayor of Tomohon, the Diplomatic community and Government Officials. This occasion marks the very first time the Filipino community in Tomohon participated in the TIFF throughout its 13-year run.
